A huge personal journey for me has been addressing my fears, owning up to the fears I face. I think we like to push what scares us aside. We brush it off like it’s not even there. Why? Because they are fears and it scares the sh*t out of us that we even have fears! So we end up going on this hamster wheel of fears: we have them, push them off, and then they show up again!
Well I am no longer letting what scares me get the best of my beautiful life. Nope. I’m going fearless.
Now this does not mean I am going to be stupid, and jump off of buildings or do things that are dangerous. This is my way of living the life I desire without being afraid of the little things. Examples are being sacred of the next day, whether I’ve said the right thing, am I using the correct grammar? Fear has a tricky way of slipping into all the areas of our lives.
So how am I going fearless? I am doing the most scary action of all: facing my fears. I’m recognizing what I’m afraid of. I’m letting myself be vulnerable with my fears-really feeling those emotions. When I let myself own up to my fears, that’s when I can then work on letting them go. I can say affirmations that release fears. I can get the books that help me to move forward and not be so afraid.
It’s okay to have fears. In fact, it’s normal to be fearful. But what’s important is how you use those fears to grow yourself.

Tessa, your last sentence says it all. for years I utilized my fears as my compass, when ever fears came up I would head in that direction to face them. However among people who are extremely sensitive it is often the case that we pick up on the fear in another and that then resonates in our body mind as if was originally our fear. When this occurs the challenge is a bit different…what is it in us that resonates fear to the emanations of another individual? Not all fear we feel is ours. that is the blessing and challenge of sensitivity.
I think you are amazing Tessa! Do you have a Twitter Account?
